The final training school of COST Action FP1004.
The topic is "modelling mechanical performance of enhanced wood-based systems"
[T1] Finite element modelling (FEM) of moisture stresses and deformations
[T2] Modelling of 2D and 3D timber truss systems
[T3] The dynamic and static modelling of timber and timber concrete floors using FEM
[T4] Probabilistic assessment of timber properties via non-destructive measurement

There will be 24 places, funded by COST Action FP1004, available for trainees from the countries represented in COST Action FP1004. All successful applicants will be awarded a lump sum grant of EUR 600 from the COST Action to cover the cost of travel and accommodation. For the COST Action sponsored students, there will be no charge for the course itself. For rules on reimbursement via FP1004 see here

3rd February (noon UK time) - Call for trainees opened
Applicants notified if accepted right away, or on a waiting list (see here)
1st March - Closing date for applications
15th March - Latest date by which all applicants notified of acceptance or not
28th-30th April - The training school
You will need to bring your own computer to the training school. Please remember that the UK has a different type of electricity plug from most other European countries so you will need an adapter.
